Easy Halloween Mini Muffin Treats + Printable Bag Toppers

I love a cute Halloween treat, but I don’t always love the amount of work that goes into making one.

Sometimes the best party or classroom treats start with something completely store-bought — and you just make them a little more fun.

These Halloween Mini Muffin Bag Toppers are exactly that kind of project. Grab individually packaged mini muffins, print the toppers, fold them over the bags, add two staples, and you have an adorable Halloween treat in just a few minutes.

No baking. No individual treat bags to fill. And, most importantly, no staying up way too late the night before a class party assembling 30 complicated favors.

There’s Muffin to Be Scared Of!

I designed these toppers around the saying “There’s Muffin to Be Scared Of!” with a simple little ghost, bats, stars, and a muted Halloween color palette.

Each finished topper measures approximately 6 inches wide by 2 inches tall, making it a great size for individually packaged mini muffin bags.

The printable includes two toppers per 8.5" × 11" page, plus simple instructions right on the sheet. 

What You'll Need

  • Individually packaged mini muffins
  • Halloween Mini Muffin Bag Topper printable
  • White cardstock
  • Printer
  • Paper cutter or scissors
  • Stapler

That's it!

I definitely recommend cardstock instead of regular printer paper for this one. It gives the topper enough structure to sit nicely on the bag and makes the finished treat look much more polished.

How to Make Them

Print the printable on white cardstock at 100% or Actual Size.

Cut out each topper along the outer edges, then fold it in half. Place the folded topper over the sealed top of your muffin package and add a staple to each side. The printable itself includes the same simple print, cut, fold and staple directions. 

And you're done.

This is exactly the kind of project I love: a really simple idea that makes something ordinary feel special.
